Internships Available Starting June 2010

Would you like to:

·          Learn more about the profession of landscape architecture?

·          Have opportunities to meet leaders in the profession from public and private practice, academia, industry, and non-profit organizations?

·          Be part of LAF’s 25th Annual Benefit and the ASLA Annual Meeting and Expo inWashington, DC in September? 

·          Learn about how non-profit organizations work?

·          Volunteer for an organization that is making a difference?

We are looking for 1-2 unpaid interns to provide support in our Washington, DC office and assist us with our ambitious plans to meet the urgent need for landscape architects to help solve the environmental crisis and achieve sustainability.

Tasks include:

·          Fundraising support

o          Database maintenance, direct mail and events support, errands

·          Program & Communications assistance

o          Internet research and support for LAF’s announcement of its new initiative, theLandscape Performance Series

o          Coverage at LAF’s booth at the ASLA Expo Hall with LAF staff, board of directors, and Olmsted Scholars

·          Graphic design

o          for ASLA Expo booth, LAF fundraising materials, Annual Benefit, and Sustainable Destination Sweepstakes
