Through my studies of the visual arts, rug design, architecture, furniture, and urban design, I have developed a passion for landscape architecture’s multi-dimensionality and practicality. I am most interested in transforming ineffective public and residual spaces into robust cultural sites that are flexible, inclusive, and community-oriented. I have recently been awarded the Scan|Design Foundation Fellowship to study at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture next fall, where I will investigate Copenhagen’s renowned urban designs and effective use of residual spaces. As I enter my final year of undergraduate studies, I am excited for the opportunity to further my career goals with the generous support and encouragement of the Landscape Forms Design for People Scholarship. I want to be rooted in history and culture while broadening my ideological boundaries in innovative ways. I hope that through my ambition and curiosity, I will continue to make a positive impact.
