This scholarship honors the memory of Courtland P. Paul, FASLA (1927-2003) and
his lifelong commitment to the landscape architecture profession. A native
Californian, he became one of the state's first licensed landscape architects
in 1954. Mr. Paul and Peridian International, the landscape architecture firm he
founded over fifty years ago, were well known for community design and master
planning, and for the golf courses, hotels, and theme parks they created in
Southern California and throughout the world.
Eligible applicants include United States citizens who are undergraduate
students in the final two years of study in Landscape Architecture
Accreditation Board accredited schools. Applicants must demonstrate financial
need and a minimum grade point average of "C."
