CLASS Fund Internship Program

Award: One (1) $3,000 scholarship

The CLASS (California Landscape Architectural Student Scholarship) Fund is designed to assist undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in programs in landscape architecture and ornamental horticulture in California. The awards are given to undergraduate or graduate students in financial need who show promise and commitment to the profession. All applicants must be continuing their studies in landscape architecture or ornamental horticulture.

The award also includes a summer internship that consists of nine (9) weeks employment in the field of landscape architecture, landscape construction and a related field within the green industry. The office or firm sponsoring the internship provides the participant with an additional $12/hour:

Awarded to:

  • A junior or senior enrolled in a landscape architecture program at Cal Poly Pomona, San Luis Obispo, or University of California, Davis.

Requirements:

  • A 300-word (maximum) statement on the profession
  • A 100-word (maximum) statement indicating intended use of funds
  • Two letters of recommendation from the faculty
  • One confidential letter of recommendation from your department head
Note: Students applying for multiple CLASS Fund Scholarships must submit a sparate application for each scholarship
