Two groups of presentations were broadcast as webinars which included a discussion and audience Q&A with the presenters. These can be viewed to earn up to 2.25 PDH (LA CES/HSW) following successful completion of a short quiz.

Held June 4-6, 2026 in Detroit, Michigan, LAF’s Future Now: Taking Action for People + Planet by Design summit brought together the landscape architecture community to inspire innovative ideas and empower individual and collective action. Building on what was started 10 years ago with the release of the New Landscape Declaration, and happening at a time when our values for the planet and the people are needed most, this convening affirmed the power of collective leadership and collaboration to drive meaningful change.
Over the course of two days encompassing lightning talks, keynote speakers, workshops, and panels, summit participants gathered to identify, share, and scale actions that address climate, inequities and strengthen resilience for communities and the world’s living systems. More than a convening, this was a call to action—an invitation to join LAF as a collective voice committed to continuing the work of shaping a future that designs for climate, biodiversity, equity, and inclusion.
